One word to describe São Paulo would be Cosmopolitan, being an unrivalled destination for urban exploration. This metropolis is considered the most multicultural city in Brazil and the reason is simple: São Paulo was the main destination for Japanese, Italian and Portuguese immigrants in former times. Today this incredible fusion of cultures can be sensed and tasted in the exotic dishes and seen in the traditional neighborhoods where many of these earlier immigrants first settled. The city has also one of the richest collections of art in Brazil, scattered throughout a slew of museums and art galleries.
