Loire Valley

The Vallée de la Loire spans for more than 280 kilometers following the Loire river. Listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site, it's also known as Garden of France, since the amazing valley has vineyards, fields, historic towns and castles in abundance. The fairy tale landscapes are always mixed with lots of history, tradition and arts. It was not by chance that Leonardo da Vinci created some of his world-changing inventions and designs right there. The iconic Chateau de Chambord, clinging to the riverbanks, is just one of the many unmissable châteaux from the region. Chaumont-sur-Loire, Amboise, Chateau du Clos-Lucé, Chateau d’Azay-le-Rideau, Chateau de Chenonceau and Chateau de Villandry definitely worth a visit too. The magnificent gardens are also a must do! And, since you are there, why not trying the "chateau life" in one of its lovely chateau hotels? Among castles, terraced gardens and enchanting medieval villages, a trip to the Loire Valley usually extends the adventure to the creative Nantes too.
